Throughout my years of playing and coaching lacrosse I have found that the fundamental aspects and mechanics of the game need to be refined, or even retaught to youth players. Unfortunately, bad habits develop over time and get engrained into youth play. If flaws in your players' fundamental skills are not corrected, they could hinder player development as they get older.
During my field time and interaction with various teams, I found that there was a need to help create and explore sound foundational work for today's lacrosse players. With that in mind, I decided to launch FOCAL POINT LACROSSE.
FOCAL POINT LACROSSE is a small scale, private lesson experience for players of all abilities. We provide sound fundamental training to the beginner, enhanced fundamental focus and further development of skill sets for the intermediate player, and focused skills refinement for the advanced player.
As a former collegiate and professional lacrosse player and longtime coach, I know from experience that establishing a sound foundation of proper mechanics during the youth years is critical for players to succeed as they progress.
For players with potential collegiate goals, sound foundational mechanics are critical in distinguishing players from other talented athletes in the eyes of college recruiters and coaches.
Thank you for your interest in FOCAL POINT LACROSSE and I look forward to the opportunity in working with you!

Focal Point Lacrosse provides a comprehensive, lacrosse specific, private or group training experience that aims to build the basic foundations of the game for beginners, or to fine-tune and maximize strategies for the advanced player.
Focal Point Lacrosse will work with various aged players, in a non-contact environment, around their current skill sets. We will assess a baseline, look to enhance current skills, and fine-tune various aspects of their mechanical game. In addition, we aim to provide players with new tool sets that they can begin to utilize while playing for their current or desired teams.
